This week is short and sweet, just a reminder that DS9 isn’t all doom and gloom. This episode is a hilarious gem of an episode, spoofing James Bond. Plus Avery Brooks as a supervillain just feels right. I mean if holodecks were real, who wouldn’t play a James Bond program?
And the dynamic between Bashir and Garak is a total bromance

I’m almost through my 3rd viewing of the DS9 franchise. My favorite series. They need to do a gritty reboot movie with the DS9 cast. 30 years later, and the Dominion is back or something.

My brother likes to tell me DS9 was a creative rip off of Babylon 5, but I always enjoyed it for what it was. I’ll still watch it when I find it playing just because of the characters.

I consider Garak and Bashir to be like a teacher and student relationship. Garak is always being aloof to get Bashir to ask questions and think about what he knows in a different light.
The bromance is Bashir and O’Brien. They could have totes been a gay couple had that been acceptable when the show aired.

As strange as that would have been, it would have been so much better than any of the Kiko O’Brien nonsense.

She was annoying even when she got turned into a preteen in a transporter accident.

I watched that episode the other day. Brutal. Someone needs to make a re-cut of her episodes that removes her entirely.
